For pilgrims of the Via Francigena
This stop is ideal for pilgrims of the Via Francigena who need to spend a short rest and who are willing to walk a small detour (2.7 km all downhill) to reach a wild place immersed in the nature of absolute relax.
The next day, walking along a beautiful path surrounded by greenery, you can reach the Via Francigena at Villa di Casola after passing a small climb (150 meters of altitude).
After Terenzo the Via Francigena climbs up to the vicinity of Casola along a large driveway. At the end of the climb, you will find signs that show you the way to Ca' d'Adello: these are easy-to-pass trails all downhill. After the stop at Ca' d'Adello, you will continue for a short distance along the Baganza stream to take a path up the mountain, crossing an uphill (150 meters above sea level) to reach the village of Villa di Casola where you are rejoining the Via Francigena.
